Portrait of Compassion: From Self to Us

What does it look like to meet ourselves with compassion, and how does the compassion we offer ourselves shape the way we meet one another?

Join The Center for Healing Arts and Sciences for a guided collaborative art experience exploring the movement of compassion from self to other. Participants will begin by creating an abstract self-portrait inspired by their own experience of self-compassion, using color, shape, texture, words, and symbols to express what it means to meet themselves with kindness and care.

Each individual portrait will then become part of a larger collective work of art, connected to the expressions of others and transformed into something none of us could create alone. Together, the finished piece will offer a visual reflection of how the compassion we cultivate within ourselves can ripple outward—deepening our capacity to see, connect with, and care for one another.

No artistic experience is necessary. Come as you are, create from where you are, and add your piece to our shared Portrait of Compassion.
