The Light the World Giving Machines are repurposed vending machines. But, instead of buying a soda or a snack for yourself, you can purchase things to help those in need. With one swipe of a credit card, you can buy food for the hungry, shelter for the homeless, medical care for those in desperate need, and many other items. 100% of donations go to trusted charities to ensure that the items purchased are procured and delivered to those who need them most. > Learn more here.

Explore the shadow dimension of grief as it relates to healing. We’ll touch on the origins of grief psychotherapy in the West, consider modern categories of complicated bereavement and prolonged grief disorder, and introduce Jungian insights to deepen understanding. Together, we’ll view a clip from Stranger Things (Season 4) through a Jungian lens to explore lived experiences of grief, coping mechanisms, and community support. We’ll close with practical approaches for ongoing healing through ritual, narrative, and continuing bonds.

Co-presented by the Institute for Spirituality and Health and the Rothko Chapel, this annual event offers space to experience mindfulness practices from different cultural traditions to ease mental, physical and spiritual strain during this reflective season. Join us to experience spiritual refreshment, grounding, and tools to navigate this winter season and embrace sacred possibilities of the holidays and new year ahead.
