Here’s Betty’s view on compassion, recorded in the summer of 2021, a year before her passing. We are forever grateful for her enduring impact.

Honoring our founder, the late Rev. Betty Adam

This year marks the 15th anniversary of Compassionate Houston.

We were founded by visionary Reverend Betty Adam >, who helped bring the Charter for Compassion to Houston and spearheaded the city’s designation as a Compassionate City.

Her vision continues through the work of Compassionate Houston and its growing network of partners committed to building a culture of compassion throughout our region.
